WearEx Super W65-Ni (3/32'' or 7/64'') is a self-shielded flux cored Nickel-based tungsten carbide overlay wire specifically designed for hardfacing pipe cladding with single or multiple layers using an open-arc process. WearEx Super 65W-Ni wire can be also used as a repair wire to hardface on a dirty surface of steel
WearEx Super W65-Fe (3/32'' or 7/64'') is a self-shielded flux cored hardfacing Iron-based tungsten carbide overlay wire specifically designed for hardfacing pipe cladding with single or multiple layers using an open-arc process. WearEx Super W65-Fe can be also used as a repair wire to weld on a dirty surface of steel substrate.
WearEx SUPER W65 (3/32'' and 7/64'') are flux cored hardfacing wires containing 60 to 65% tungsten carbides. The overlay is composed of sintered tungsten carbides uniformly distributed in either NiCrBSi or FeCrBSi matrix cross the coating layer. A wide range of carbide sizes is up to about 50 μm. The majority of the carbides are sintered tungsten carbides. The deposit of WearEx SUPER W65 wires optimizes the combination of toughness and wear resistance due to the heterogeneous weld metal composed of tungsten carbides distributed in a hard and very tough matrix. The bead appearance is smooth and clean which provides excellent flow and wetting characteristics. WearEx SUPER W wire can be applied with or without external gas shielding gas.
Both WearEx Ni W65 and WearEx Fe W65 wires can be overlaid on steel pipes and high strength QT steels. They can also be welded on a dirty substrate, such as a base plate with oxides, slag, grease, bitumen, asphalts, and/or even weld on top of pre-existed chromium carbide overlay surface.
