- WearEx PTA 60W is a coarse-grain (150µm) powder for plasma arc (PTA) welding hardfacing overlay.
- The powder is nickel-based alloys containing 60% tungsten.
- The achieved Vickers microhardness of tungsten carbide in PTA overlay is about 1700 HV0.1.
- The obtained overlay is composed of coarse-grain tungsten carbides in nickel-based matrix which provide good wear and impact resistance.
- The surface hardness of hardfacing layer is about 47-52 HRC.
